This post is part of my 12 Season Color Theory series, which aims to break down the best and worst colors for your “color season,” or what we call your unique blend of hair and eye color, skin tone, and contrast. There are 4 overall seasons (spring, summer, etc), and 3 subcategories within those seasons (one of which is featured on this page!) You might want to start here if you are new to this series. If you think you are another subcategory under the Autumn type, you can find all 3 of the Autumn types discussed here.
No other Autumn type better exemplifies the vivid colors of fall than Warm Autumn. On the other hand, icy, cool-toned dark colors do nothing for her warm glow. If you want to give your outfit that extra oomph, you can’t go wrong with the shades of the earth, bricks in the sun, or a cerulean for contrast.
Hair and Eye Color
- You are a truly golden type who likely to have auburn- to dark-brown or even red-brown hair. You possess very warm undertones and green or brown eyes.
- Your celebrity twins are J.Lo, Julia Roberts, and Priyanka Chopra.
Best Colors for Warm Autumn Types
Colors like terracotta, brick, and deep green really bring out your glow. While you look good in certain cool tones (such as deep purple), stay away from pale or icy tones. In addition, opt for toned colors and you generally prefer gold jewelry over silver. You take inspiration from Drew Barrymore or Gisele.
I would stay away from cool (lime) green and that lavender shade of pink that is too cool for your skin and washes you out. Instead, choose a coral to complement your skin tone or a teal blue that contrasts with it without cutting against it.
Here are some of my top picks to help you bring out your warm tones.
